Hello parents and students, welcome to the second grade.  I believe that all students are capable of learning given a classroom environment that encourages their creativity and supports their interest in learning.  My commitment is to provide an environment that includes and respects each child’s learning style.  I have high expectations for my students.  As a teacher my challenge is to take each child as far as they can go.  My goal is to inspire each child to develop a deep love of learning that will last a lifetime. I believe the key to a successful classroom is having a partnership between student, parents and teacher.  Parents are the first teachers and are an essential part of the educational process.  It is very important that your child reads everyday.  Please read with your child, practice the sight words that are on the back of their homework folder, and make sure they have completed their homework each night.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at 675-2070.
