Welcome to our class!

Hello, my name is Marlena Castellanoz and I am one of the Kindergarten teachers at ETAA. This is my fourth year as a kindergarten teacher and have had several great years of kindergarten experiences. This year, I am implementing a stronger reading program and focusing more on sight words for the kindergarten students. Through hard work, I truly expect each and every student to leave the kindergarten class with the ability to read and recognize words at a first grade level.

Through the past years at ETAA, I have built strong connections with past students and even students in the upper-grade levels. I coach Volleyball and Softball and I try to be very encouraging to the upper-grade girls, and preach to them the importance of higher education, especially college. Kindergarten has been a great experience for me, and I really enjoy the enthusiasm the kindergarten students have in learning. I would like for Parents to know that I am always available to discuss concerns or expectations for students in my class.
